About

We are Oliver Howlett (from the UK) and Dimitra Christofidou (from Cyprus).

Growing up, music was ever present in our lives – Oliver composing melodies and creating video clips; Dimitra never far from a piano and endlessly replaying soundtracks on her CD player. This love of music led us to study it at the University of York (Oliver) and Royal Holloway (Dimitra). We met while post-graduate students of film composition at the University of Bristol and, since 2014, we found our calling in Paris.

Fast forward through ten years of numerous film projects – encompassing a myriad of musical notes, crossfades and, at times, sleepless nights to meet demanding deadlines – to the birth of our partnership, Dimitroli.

Throughout our journey, we’ve had the pleasure of collaborating with acclaimed film composers, including Oscar-winners Gabriel Yared and Stephen Warbeck, as well as Bryce Dessner and Erwann Chandon. Built on a love for storytelling through music, we approach every project with the same excitement and care as when we first started.

Whether we’re preparing for epic recording sessions, fine-tuning orchestrations or editing to create the perfect cue, we will always be focused on bringing your vision to life. Both perfectionists, we take pride in our meticulous organisation to ensure that every project is handled with the utmost care and precision.

We enjoy working with new and familiar faces, and, most importantly, always look to have fun in what we do.
